A 2D action platformer released for the Sega Genesis in 1996, serving as the sequel to the original Vectorman. The player controls the titular character, guiding him through 22 levels of running, jumping, and shooting projectile attacks at waves of enemies, with collectable weapon upgrades that change and increase his damage output. Vectorman can also morph into different forms by defeating specific enemies, such as a scorpion that allows him to walk across hot surfaces without harm or a rhinoceros beetle that gives him a large horned head for ramming. Set after the events of the first game, the story follows Vectorman as his spaceship is destroyed by a missile and he parachutes down to an old research facility, only to find the area overrun by aggressive mutant insects. He sets out to explore a variety of modern settings and eliminate the mutant infestation, ultimately tracking the threat to its source: the Black Widow Queen.
