Our Year in Review | Blog | Pawn America MN & WI
Another year has come and gone, and in the blink of an eye 2017 is in our rearview mirror. To say that it’s been a busy and eventful year is an understatement, and with change comes opportunity and growth. 2017 was a milestone in Pawn America history; let’s take a look back at some of our highlights and biggest accomplishments this past year!
Who doesn’t love a good makeover? Positive in-store shopping experiences and providing 5-star customer service were two main goals employees were tasked with, and having efficient store layouts, more prominent outdoor signs, better fixtures and upgraded amenities provides them with the platform to perform their jobs in the most effective manner.
Remodels and renovations were completed in 8 of our Pawn America stores. Included in this were our Madison, St Cloud, Burnsville, Inver Grove Heights, Mankato, Rochester, Appleton and Fridley
In addition to our improved in-store shopping experience, major enhancements have been completed on our website for our online customers as well. A new e-commerce website was launched this past spring that boasted a fresh design, modified layout, and new products added daily from all of our stores.
New pages and shopping categories within the website have also been added that add more dynamic to our online platform. Included in this is our Jewelry Education, Jewelry
Social Media Contest Engagement
Keeping our Facebook fresh and fun by filling our feed with contests and giveaways enabled us to engage our followers and give away some serious Pawn America gift certificates! A few of our favorites from 2017 included Guess the Price Tag, the Pawntique Roadshow series, I Love You Brad Sweepstakes, Guess the Autograph and our annual Halloween Costume and Ugly Sweater contests. Thousands of dollars’ worth of PA gift certificates were awarded and we are excited to ramp it up even more in the year to come.
We’re going to jump right into the good news with this one, we are proud to announce that we met our 2017 fundraising goal and will be donating $40,000 to the Kids Feeding Kids program at the Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities! The KFK program was started by Brad Rixmann in
A 15k race was added to our lineup that expanded our racer demographic, attracting a new audience of distance runners. Many new sponsors and vendors, along with our generous returning supporters, helped us put on a spectacular event. We invite you to watch our event recap video below:
Season of Giving
Ending our year by spreading warm holiday cheer to well-deserved families was a fitting conclusion for 2017. Our 2nd annual Season of Giving was a great success, allowing us to gift 5 of our Facebook followers a $250 Pawn America gift certificate plus a $20 gift certificate to every entry in the giveaway for a grand total of $2,400! We appreciate everyone in our Pawn America family and were overjoyed to contribute to their holiday.
We wish you and yours a wonderful, happy start to 2018. Cheers to the New Year!"
