The Marantz SM500DC is a classic vintage stereo power amplifier released around 1981–1982 during the brand's mid-range "slim series" era. Produced during the period when Philips owned the brand, it is highly recognizable for its distinct champagne/gold faceplate and large dual analog VU power meters.

Condition
This amplifier was previously owned and shows signs of heavy use. It is in fair condition. It has been tested and works. There are white paint streaks and scratches over all the surfaces of the amplifier. On the bottom there is a thick black residue around one of the feet and by that; there is a small gap where the panel pushes out.
