Features

A field termination kit designed for terminating 200 micrometer core Standard HCS fibers with ST connectors, completing each end in approximately 2-3 minutes. The kit is compatible with ST connectors for 200/230 micrometer step-index HCS as well as 50/230 micrometer and 62.5/230 micrometer graded-index HCS fibers, and supports cable diameters of 1.8 mm, 2.2 mm, 2.5 mm, and 3.0 mm. Included components are a diamond cleave tool (DT03732-06, green spring), a fiber stripper (CP01229-02, white blade insert), a cable stripper (AP01224), a crimp tool (BT03865-03, red handles), and scissors capable of cutting through aramid yarn (AP01225), with the ST mating adapter identified as AP01960. Connectors produced with this kit exhibit a maximum insertion loss of 1.5 dB at 850 nm (typical 1.0 dB), a cable crimp retention of 50 lb (223 N), an operating temperature range of -40 to +80 degrees C, and an overall connector dimension of 2.75 in (69.9 mm).
