Features
Writer, producer, and musical director extraordinaire Adam Blackstone has spent over two decades backing some of the biggest names in the music business, with a musical résumé that lists the likes of Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake, Eminem, and countless others. The Jackson Pro Series Signature Adam Blackstone “Gladys” Concert bass guitar — lovingly named after Adam’s grandmother — encapsulates his diverse musical talents in a single high-performance 5-string. Starting with a lightweight poplar body paired with a graphite-reinforced maple neck, this bass offers exquisite playability thanks to its 21 jumbo frets and compound-radius maple fingerboard. A pair of Jackson BBE J-style pickups grant both warm, jazzy thump and biting grit, bolstered by a flexible 3-band active EQ. It’s all bookended with a top-shelf hardware combo consisting of a HiMass bridge and old-school open-back tuners. Representing the very best of 5-string versatility and performance, the Pro Series Signature Adam Blackstone “Gladys” Concert bass is a true workhorse ready to excel in any stage or studio application you could ever dream of.
